Dawn over Eoropie (FR4)

£55.00

Materials/size: Merino wool with mulberry silk. Square. Picture (aperture) size 5 x 5 cms, mount size 15 x 15 cms. Fits frame size 15 x 15 cms

An original and contemporary felt ‘painting’ - inspired by, and made in, the Outer Hebrides.

Philly Hare creates her unique feltings in a small cottage in Ness, a crofting community at the northernmost point of the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. She uses the traditional needle-felting technique to combine threads of fine merino wool and mulberry silk into dramatic land-, sea- and sky-scapes. Philly selects wool of colours and textures which reflect the natural wildness of this remote island. The silk picks up the gleam of sunlight or moonlight on water or clouds.

This felting is supplied READY TO FRAME in a black window mount, as seen in the photo. The mount will fit a standard off-the-shelf frame. The frame is NOT supplied - this keeps your total costs down, avoids the risk of damage, and enables you to choose your style and colour. You can also then decide whether to use glass (to protect the felt) or not (so that the textures and colours of the materials can be fully enjoyed).

Size R: Square: Picture (aperture) size 10 x 10 cms, mount size 20 x 20 cms. Fits frame 20 x 20 cms

Price: £55.00 (free UK p and p)
